Our downstairs basement has been through quite a lot since we moved in, it still has a long way to go, but its getting there. I needed a craft table for my craft space downstairs and luckily for me there were two closet doors hanging out in our basement when we moved in. I bought some large, white heavy duty L brackets from walmart to attach the closet door to the wall. I measured and cut the door to be the size I needed for the table. Then I just flipped it on its side and put the cut side against the wall and secured it to the two L brackets underneath.
I have since painted it a clean white color and it now holds my sewing machine and cricut machine full time!
